I have taken a brake from posting here for a while. I am making some changes. All will be revealed soon.
I always like to leave my home spiffy when I leave for a while and find that I like to do the same on my blogs.

I have heard that problems come in threes. If that is the case, we are good for a long while.
First there was the Gypsy Moth and all that came with that.
Then Sunday morning I was in my studio and noticed that there was the sound of water dripping, after some investigation I found out that the dishwasher was the culprit. There is a leak somewhere in the dishwasher and the water was coming through the floor and into my studio.
Sunday Evening, after a lovely dinner with my parents, we came home to a very warm house and since we have a heat wave we thought that the air conditioner could not work at full capacity. We woke up the next morning to a sweltering house, come to find out that the condenser is gone so we need a new one. Tomorrow we will have people here installing a new condenser and on Thursday we will have the GE repair person here for the dishwasher.....fingers crossed that whatever is wrong with it can be fixed.

OK!!!!! enough whining. The good news is that I have a new digital camera, a single lens reflex...just like the professionals :) Here is some show and tell. Click on Day Lily photo for a surprise.

Being a Grandmother is all and more than I had imagined it would be. To hold my little Grandson gave me a feeling that is hard to describe....bliss, love, ecstasy.....words are inadequate. I will have photos do the talking.

I am not sure why it is, that I have had days in the last two weeks, when I have not even opened my computer. Not that I have been idle.....interestingly there is life away from the web.
Perhaps this aversion I have had for the computer lately is due to the weeks of computer problems that I had recently. Those problems have ended only to find new ones.
We bought a new three in one printer, nothing to it, we will just connect it and tell our computers that they have a new printer.....well five hours and three technicians from the printer company later, we were told that this printer is defective and that we should take it back to the store to exchange it for another one. We did, but have not had the time or energy to hook it up yet. So for two days it has been in it’s box waiting for us to recharge.
I have had more important things to think about lately, our new Grandson and the fact that we will see him in three weeks. In three weeks he will be five weeks old and I have been told that at five weeks babies start smiling...will he smile for his Amma and Afi (Grandmother and Grandfather in Icelandic).
I have been rather skeptical in the past when new Grandparents tell me that there is nothing like it and that it is even better than becoming a parent...skeptical no more, now I nod in agreement.
Just looking at photos of him takes my breath away and I am looking forward to hugging, smelling and kissing him. I will whisper in his ear that he is loved and how lucky he is to have three Great-Grandmothers, one Great-Granddad, two Grandmothers and two Grandfathers and exceptional Parents. He is rich indeed, my little Grandson.
So now I am back, because I have missed you and I wanted to show you a photo of my beautiful little Grandson, who is two weeks old today.
